Terms & Conditions

The agreement between you and AlphaScout: what you get, how billing works, how you may use the data, and what each of us is responsible for. Written to be read.

Effective 9 October 2026

AlphaScout is preparing to launch. Our registered business details and contact e-mail will be published here before we accept payments. Until then, privacy requests can be made through the request form.

01This Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and AlphaScout (“we”, “us”). They apply when you visit our website or use the AlphaScout service. By ticking the box when you create your account, or by paying for a plan, you accept them.

If you use AlphaScout for an organisation, you confirm that you may accept these terms on its behalf, and “you” means that organisation.

02The Service

AlphaScout helps investors discover early-stage companies. It collects information from public sources, links it to the companies concerned and ranks them with automated scores. You can browse companies, signals and the evidence behind each score.

We improve AlphaScout continuously, so features can change. Features marked “Soon” are planned but not yet part of any plan.

03Accounts and Eligibility

  • AlphaScout is a business service. You must be at least 18 and use it for professional purposes.
  • Give accurate account details and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • Each account is for one person. Don't share logins; ask us if your team needs more seats.

04Free Sample

Instead of a free trial, we publish a free sample: last week's hidden gems (up to 50 companies), viewable without an account and downloadable with a free one, for your own evaluation of AlphaScout.

Paid plans start when you pay. If we agree a pilot with your organisation, its length and price are confirmed in writing and shown at checkout; unless you cancel before the pilot ends, the plan continues at the price shown and we e-mail you 3 days before the first charge.

05Plans, Prices and Payment

  • Pro Monthly, $499 per month. Billed monthly in advance. It renews automatically each month until you cancel.
  • Pro Yearly, $4,990 per year. Billed yearly in advance. It renews automatically each year until you cancel. We e-mail you before each yearly renewal.

Prices are in US dollars and include any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies, so the price shown is the amount charged.Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record: it charges your card, adds any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies, and issues your invoice. We never see or store your full card number. Where your bank requires it (for example under RBI rules for Indian cards), you will be asked to approve recurring payments and notified before each charge.

We may change prices. A change never affects a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to a renewal.

06Cancellation and Refunds

You can cancel at any time from Billing in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: you keep access until then and are not charged again.

AlphaScout sells access to data, and that access starts the moment you pay: what you have seen or downloaded can't be returned. So all payments are final and non-refundable, which you confirm at checkout before paying. The only exceptions, and the discretionary, usage-based refund we may offer within 7 days of a first payment, are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

07How You May Use AlphaScout Data

While your plan is active, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use AlphaScout and its data for your own internal business purposes, such as sourcing, research and investment decisions.

You may not:

  • resell, sublicense, publish or redistribute AlphaScout data, or substantial parts of it;
  • use it to build or improve a competing database or service;
  • copy it in bulk by scraping, crawling or automated export beyond the features we provide.

AlphaScout contains limited personal data, such as executives named in public filings. If you contact people you found through AlphaScout, you are responsible for complying with applicable data-protection, privacy and anti-spam laws, including honouring opt-outs.

08Acceptable Use

  • Don't use AlphaScout for anything unlawful, deceptive or harassing.
  • Don't try to break, overload, probe or bypass the security of the service.
  • Don't reverse engineer the service, except where the law allows it.
  • Don't access the service by automated means other than an API we provide.

09Not Investment Advice

AlphaScout provides information, not financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Scores and labels are automated signals based on public data and can be wrong or incomplete. Always do your own due diligence. AlphaScout is not registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) or any other regulator as an investment adviser or research analyst.

10Third-Party Sources and Links

AlphaScout data comes from public third-party sources and links to their websites. We collect it carefully, but we don't control those sources and can't guarantee that their information is accurate or current. Names and trademarks belong to their owners; showing them does not imply endorsement.

11Our Intellectual Property

AlphaScout, including its software, design, compiled database, scores and content, belongs to us or our licensors. These terms don't transfer any of it to you, beyond the licence above. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

12Availability and Changes

We work to keep AlphaScout available, but can't promise uninterrupted service; maintenance and events outside our control can cause downtime. We may change or retire features. If we permanently shut down AlphaScout, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid period.

13Suspension and Termination

You can stop using AlphaScout at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, doesn't pay, or where the law requires us to, and we will tell you why unless we are not allowed to. When an account closes, your licence to use AlphaScout data ends.

14Disclaimers and Limits of Liability

To the extent the law allows, AlphaScout is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of data.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, investment returns, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

15Your Responsibility to Us

You will compensate us for reasonable losses and costs arising from third-party claims caused by your breach of these terms or your misuse of AlphaScout data, including outreach that breaks data-protection or anti-spam laws.

16Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we process, why, and the rights you have.

17Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days' notice by e-mail or in the product before they apply. If you continue to use AlphaScout after that, the new terms apply; if you don't accept them, you can cancel before they take effect.

18Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem informally. Otherwise, disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts having jurisdiction over our registered office in India.

19Grievances and Contact

Our Grievance Officer's name and contact details will be published here before AlphaScout accepts payments. Until then, use the request form and we will respond within the timelines below.

We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within one month of receipt.
